The Most Reliable Kia Models in USA

Some potential online shoppers may be surprised to find that certain communities are talking badly about the Korean brands Kia. This behavior is not without valid reasons, however: many years ago, Kia built bad cars. Conversely, the bad car brand has now had a very difficult time entering global markets like the US.

Very Affordable:

Aside from being very cheap, there was nothing else to describe the Kia models when they first came to the US. The company, of course, recognized that quality issues had to be addressed on the warpath, so they spent many millions of dollars on research, development, and subsequent manufacturing. The efforts paid off over time and it eventually became a worthy competitor to Honda and Toyota, known around the world for their reliability.

Reliable Models:

Based on drives and research, the following Kia models are recognized for being the most reliable:

  • Telluride:

Despite being a relatively new vehicle, customers and journalists have spoken positively about it from all sides. Gradually it became a benchmark for other manufacturers, which says a lot about the growth of this Korean brand. The Telluride in a sure winner is a powerful but efficient engine and very comfortable seats. Given Kia’s history as a brand, this is the best SUV Kia has ever produced. Buyers will be even happier knowing that the Kia Telluride comes with a basic 5-year / 60,000-mile warranty and a 10-year / 100,000-mile transmission warranty.

  • Sportage:

Prior to the Telluride, Kia’s favorite SUV was the Sportage. However, it did have to suffer from quality issues such as bad assembly, mechanical problems, and poor quality in its initial years.  The good thing here was that Kia sorted out its act very soon for this car.

Some of the reasons that make the Kia Sportage an excellent SUV are as follows:

  1. Very Easy to Maintain
  2. Can be Fixed Cheaply
  3. Very Affordable

It has been available in three generations so far, which indicates its popularity in the US. The Sportage is available with the same basic and drivetrain warranties as the Telluride.

  • Optima:

Various upgrades and upgrades have been made to the Kia Optima sedan over the years. She also had issues like poor performance, styling, and reliability, but Kia got back to work. For car buyers, the best buys are the third, fourth and fifth models (current generation).

  • Stinger:

This mid-size car that first came out in 2017 gets two engine configurations. The base engine here is a 3.3 liter V6 Twin Turbo which produces 365 hp of power. It is in the same class as the BMW 3-series and the Mercedes C-Class.

Kia was recently named the most trouble-free mainstream brand, just a few notches below Toyota, according to the JD Power Rankings in the US. While Lexus, Toyota’s luxurious scion, led the survey with 81 problems for 100 cars, Kia came third with 97 problems. Incidentally, this is well below the industry average of 121.
