Halloween Cars Clarksville TN

With Halloween drawing closer each day, many of us are thinking back over classic horror films and reliving our memories of previous spooky seasons. Many think that a classic scary movie always includes a villian, spine-shivering horror, brutality, and darkness. Yet, there's consistently an underestimated star in horror films, the vehicles.

The following is a list of some of the most iconic Halloween movie cars that are responsible for creating some of the most famous horror movie scenes.

The Psycho-Killer Tractor-Trailer in Duel

This Richard Matheson-composed and Steven Spielberg-directed spine-chiller follows David Mann on what turns out to be a very unusual business trip. Watch as David is chased by a murderous tractor-trailer while he attempts to make it back to the safety of his home.

The Mystery Machine in Scooby-Doo
The Mystery Machine, which got its inspiration from a classic VV van, is the mode of transportation for the largely beloved mystery solving crew of, Fred, Shaggy, Daphne, Velma, and Scooby-Doo. This vehicle can adjust to any circumstance and is well-outfitted with apparatuses, long bench, ropes, step stools, a table, seats, electronic gear and everything else you need to solve the crime.

The Lincoln Futura Batmobile
Arguably Batman’s most famous ride, a remodeled 1955 Lincoln Futura was manned by none other than Adam West. This remarkable car was utilized in the first Batman television series, then in the full-length 1966 feature film. Still riding this momentum, the Batman franchise is alive and well with a new installment expected in March, 2022.

The Checker Cab V8 in Taxi Driver
Travis Bickle, ex-veteran, is miserable and alone driving a taxi in New York City at night. After some time, he gets fixated on Betsy, and the one under whom she is employed. This infatuation quickly turns dark and ultimately ends in murder.

The 1973 Oldsmobile Delta 88 in The Evil Dead Series
As a supernatural-based horror satire film series, Evil Dead is notable for the 1973 Oldsmobile Delta 88. This vehicle was used in all the movies of this series and was given a horrific look with rusty shades and spinning blades.

The Aston Martin DB 2/4 from The Birds
Any car-based horror film list isn't at all complete without the Alfred Hitchcock master class, The Birds. This film was so terrifying because it changed the everyday harmless bird and turned it into a horrific creature capable of extreme torment. The iconic and outwardly dazzling Aston Martin DB 2/4 may not have a particularly ferocious look. Yet, in the film's context - a failed escape by a courageous woman (the lead character)- the vehicle certainly left a mark on audiences throughout the nation.

The 1933 Packard V-12 in The Addams Family
This delightfully decrepit family might not terrify you, yet their lifestyle exemplifies Halloween! Their 1933 Packard was an extravagant car, beloved by people of all ages to this day.
